This tournament is entering its 58th year. Our association celebrates our 60th anniversary next season.

1. The tournament ALWAYS runs Dec 27-30th with 12/30 typically being reserved for the semi's and final's. We run 4 divisions:
2. Bantam Minor 13yr
3. Bantam Major 14yr
4. Midget Minor 15yr

5. Midget Major 16/17yr

6. We're located in Windsor ON.

Riverside is a "neighbourhood" that was amalgamated into the City of Windsor many years ago but we have a very strong independent identity. We are surrounded by many other local minor hockey associations most of which are much bigger than we are but we don't care! We're better than the rest. :) We are considered an "A" center in the classification of Hockey Canada (AAA, AA, A, etc). Classifications such as AA, A, BB, B, etc can typically be equated to population of the center and should not be confused with ability! (Don't tell that to a AA center as they think they're better than we are but they're not).

1. This tournament is quite unique in that we offer many different things that other tournaments don't such as: *. All games are out of one site. *. We don't cheap out on ice! Our round-robin games are 10-15-15 with a flood after 2 periods. Semi's and finals are 3x15. *. Trophies and medals for all finalists and champions. *. We FEED KIDS AND COACHES FOR FREE. This is a tradition that started back in the 1950's with our Ladies Club. We provide good meals for 3 of the 4 days onsite between the hours of 11-5pm for those teams that are around to come and sit and eat. We're famous for our Egg McRangers (think McDonalds with a Riverside Ranger twist). *. Most importantly we BILLET any EU team with our host families providing them with a full Canadian experience. I personally have billetted kids from England and Russia when my son was playing. *. We assist the travelling parents and coaches with room accommodations at a nearby hotel. But otherwise the players become Canadians for the duration of their stay and say bye-bye to mom and dad. Our billet families will get their players to/from games and become their biggest cheering section. *. We accommodate scheduling requests where able. If a team is travelling far then we'll work with them to ensure the schedule meets their needs. *. If the Detroit Red Wings are in town then I'll put you in contact with their Sales department for tickets. Travelling to / from the United States from Windsor is quite easy as we're less than a mile apart. *. We are also home to the local Major JR A and Memorial Cup winner (Windsor Spitfires). If they're home during the tournament we can help you purchase those tickets as well. *. If time permits we will assist with finding ex-games for the visiting team with other teams in our area.
